Accountancy for small businesses in and around Aylesbury.
AMB Accounting Ltd is registered for accounting and auditing activities (SIC 69201) and is registered at Alderson Way, Haddenham, near Aylesbury.
The work is ordinary small-company accountancy: keeping the books current, preparing year-end accounts, putting together corporation tax and self assessment returns, handling VAT under Making Tax Digital, running payroll, and producing management figures often enough to be useful.
Two things we try to do differently. The first is timing — records kept current through the year, and queries raised when they come up rather than saved for a difficult conversation in month fifteen. The second is language: accounts explained in plain words before anything is filed, because a set of accounts nobody understands is a compliance exercise rather than information.
Now the limits, which matter more than the sales pitch. Although the Companies House classification for our activities is called “accounting and auditing activities”, that is a statistical category and not an offer. We do not carry out statutory audit and we are not a registered auditor. Statutory audit in the UK may only be carried out by a firm registered with a Recognised Supervisory Body, and it is an offence to act as a statutory auditor without that registration. If your company needs an audit, we will say so and send you to a registered auditor.
We also do not hold ourselves out as chartered or chartered certified accountants, we do not carry out insolvency work or probate, and we do not give investment or regulated financial advice. Where something falls outside what we do, we will tell you at the point we see it.
